The first details of Moss's home port of Raiden IV have hit the internet courtesy of this week's Famitsu. Though the game had its development previously spoiled by UFO Interactive over at Team Fremont, the Famitsu article is the first official announcement from Moss that the latest Raiden game will be coming to the Xbox 360 platform. In addition to the standard arcade game, the console version of Raiden IV will also include 2 new stages, Live support, and replay saves that can be shared online with friends. The game will also offer a TATE option for those with swivel arm LCDs (or perhaps hardcore enough to stand a CRT on its end). Though there isn't any mention of it in the article from what I can see, I wouldn't be surprised to find out that Gulti may be responsible for this port.
While Raiden IV probably won't convert any Cave fanatics to the Raiden series, it is an enjoyable game that improves on Raiden III and acts as a solid second outing for Moss with the franchise. The arcade game's official website can be found here.
Raiden IV should be hitting the Xbox 360 September 11th.
