I have an odd relationship with Otomedius. I've only had a chance to play the game once, but ever since that one opportunity, I've had a desire to really sink some dedicated time into it. Unfortunately, I never bought the game (Death smiles demanded my money I made from selling off some of my NEO GEO AES collection), and for the last few months, I've been forced to only experience the game vicariously through updates on Sazanami.net.With that said, Konami has been slowly revealing portions of their AOU line-up through their official AOU website. Aside from their displays of Bemani, Konami is also planning on showing off the second set of their Otomedius Prize Collection pieces. The first release consisted of a set of two blow up pillows and two figures featuring the starting characters for the game, but Konami is now expanding the line-up to include two new figures based on unlockable characters and a set of key chains with the full roster of "pilots" (shown above).
As part of their Prize Collection, these pieces will be available through Konami's Prize games in Japan. I think I'm going to have to try to convince a friend to dedicate some effort into winning or purchasing a full set of the key chains for me...
