Over at NeoGaf, alkaline black has posted a small announcement that Street Fighter III Third Strike is going to be added to the current Gametap library of thousands of games on December 20th. Unfortunately for purists, it is the Dreamcast version of the game, so arcade perfection shouldn't be expected. I'm not sure how well the Dreamcast games are emulated through the Gametap system, but this will at least offer a way (quality subjective) to play Third Strike for those who don't have it via any other form or have issues with using the recently released CPS-3 emulators.There is no online play however, so don't expect to be able to get your groove on against opponents across the world. That may be for the better though, as there are still some issues with Gametap's online play.
Check it out on December 20th if you are a current Gametap member. Maybe Gametap will decide to post it up on their "free games" list when it first hits the service. I doubt it, but you never know.
