What we know: Sangokushi Taisen 3 is the third installment of Sega's popular Sangokushi Taisen series. The game is a real time strategy card-game based around the Three Kingdoms period of Chinese history. All of the cards in game are placed on a special "play area" that the game is able to use to detect both the individual card ID but also movement and attacks. Sangokushi Taisen 3 differs from the previous entries of the game by implementing new card types and strategies that can be employed for victory in the 1 on 1 combat matches. Generals also now have special "one time" abilities that can be used in battle to turn the tides of momentum to your favor. These vary widely depending on the general characters used in game.
Kevin Williams of The Stinger Report recently posted about a limited test that the second game in the series, Sangokushi Taisen 2, had received in Chicago this past year. Though the test was relatively successful based on reports, there hasn't been word yet from what I've seen with whether or not Sega Amusements America has stated if the game is going to be available widely across the US.
